Semester Accommodation Package

Accommodation packages offered and rates

1.	The accommodation fee for the Semester Accommodation Package from 1 September 2009 to 27 June 2010 (both nights inclusive), is HK$30,000 and HK$72,000 per student for room sharing and single occupancy respectively.
2.	For research postgraduate students, one more accommodation option is available that for the whole year from 1 September 2009 to 31 August 2010 (both nights inclusive), the accommodation fee is HK$31,950 and HK$76,680 per student for room sharing and single occupancy respectively.
3.	Those students who plan to check-in before 1 September 2009 have to raise their reuqest in time of application. HK$100 and HK$240 per student per night for room sharing and single occupancy respectively will be applied, and is subject to room availability.
4.	Summer Accommodation Package will be offered for student residents who would like to continue their stay at the House during summer period. Further information will be announced in due course.

Reservations

1.	Please contact the Housing Office of Hong Kong Baptist University for reservations. The Housing Office will then refer successful applicants to NTT International House for registration and payment collection. For any enquiry on the eligibility of accommodation and arrangement, please contact Mr. Peter Lam or Mr. Perry Yiu of Housing Office at (852) 3411 2164 / (852) 3411 7785 or email at housing@hkbu.edu.hk. NTT processes applications referred by Housing Office ONLY.
2.	Successful applicants will be notified via email and asked to fill in the "Reservation Form for Semester Accommodation Package". Duly signed reservation form has to be submitted with the following documents to Miss Alice Kan of NTT International House by fax, email or in person in 14 days upon receiving notice of successful application. A photocopy of admission letter issued by respective departments of HKBU (for new student) A photocopy of HKBU Student I.D. card (for existing student) Bank slip (if the first payment is settled by either overseas remittance, local bank in, cheque or bank draft) or photocopy of both sides of credit card (if the first payment is settled by credit card) If an applicant fails to settle the first installment and caution money on or before the deadline, the application will be cancelled actomatically without prior notice.
3.	Upon receiving the first installment from an applicant, NTT will issue a confirmation number to the applicant .

Caution money

1.

A caution money of HK$1,000 per student which has to be paid together with the 1st installment of the room rental, set out for the due observance and performance of the terms and conditions herein contained, and upon collection of the room key, writing desk key and mail box key of the student resident, the House shall refund the caution money to the student resident without interest within 21 days from the date of delivery if vacant possession of the bed space or room to the House.

2.

If the student quits in the middle of the accommodation terms, the entire caution money should be forfeited.

Payment settlement

1.	The total room rental should be settled in 2 installments. 1st Payment¡V 1st installment of room rental plus caution money should be settled in 14 days upon receiving notice on successful application 2nd Payment - 2nd installment of room rental should be settled on or before 25th December 2009
2.	All paid room rentals are neither refundable nor transferable.

Payment method
Payment can be settled by credit card, cheque,bank draft, overseas remittance and local bank in.

Room assignment
The room for double occupancy has to be shared by two students of the same gender. Student should indicate his / her preferred roommate and signed on the reservation form. If he / she has no partner to share the room, the House has the authority to pair up students to share the room.
